Welcome to Kristy Sholly - New Chief of Interpretation & Visitor Services

Kristy Sholly

Kristy Sholly is the new Chief of Interpretation and Visitor Services for Mesa Verde National Park. Twenty years ago, she began her adventure with the National Park Service on the Colorado Plateau in the Maze District of Canyonlands National Park. With a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Allegheny College and field studies in Kenya's national parks, she began her journey to learn and teach others about our nation's natural and cultural heritage. Since her beginnings, Kristy has been a park ranger in nine national parks (Arches, Canyonlands, Death Valley, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Kenai Fjords, Mojave, Olympic, and Zion). In her free time, Kristy loves exploring canyons with her family and everything about a life spent in the outdoors. Kristy is excited about being part of the Mesa Verde National Park team and learning more about the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people.
